PUBLIC NOTICE


Notice is hereby given, that the Preliminary Budget of the Town of Westville for the fiscal year beginning January 1, 2022 has been completed, and filed in the office of the Town Clerk where it is available for inspection by interested persons upon request.


Further notice is given that the Town Board will conduct a Public Hearing on said Preliminary Budget on Tuesday, October 12, 2021 at 6:15 p.m. at the Westville Town Hall.


Pursuant to Section 113 of the Town Law, the proposed salaries of elected officials are certified as follows:

Supervisor -- $10,000

Town Justice -- $10,500

Town Clerk -- $7,000

Councilman -- $2,400

Tax Collector -- $4,000

Full time working:

Highway Supt. -- $53,700

Notice of Public Hearing


The Town of Westville will hold a public hearing on October 12, 2021, at 6:00PM at the Town of Westville, 936 County Route 19 Constable, NY 12926 for the purpose of hearing public comments on the Town of Westville community development needs, and to discuss the possible submission of one or more Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) applications for the 2021 program year. The CDBG program is administered by the New York State Office of Community Renewal (OCR) and will make available to eligible local governments approximately $20 million for the 2021 program year for housing, economic development, public facilities, public infrastructure, and planning activities, with the principal purpose of benefitting low/moderate income persons. The hearing will provide further information about the CDBG program and will allow for citizen participation in the development of any proposed grant applications and/or to provide technical assistance to develop alternate proposals. Comments on the CDBG program or proposed project(s) will be received at this time. The hearing is being conducted pursuant to Section 570.486, Subpart I of the CFR and in compliance with the requirements of the Housing and Community Development Act of 1974, as amended.


The location of the public hearing is accessible to persons with disabilities. If special accommodations are needed for persons with disabilities, those with hearing impairments, or those in need of translation from English, those individuals should contact Rod Lauzon at 936 County Route 19 Constable, NY 12926 at least one week in advance of the hearing date to allow for necessary arrangements. Notice to Bidders:  The Town of Westville is soliciting bids for mowing services for the 2022 mowing season.  Bids will be opened/reviewed at the August 16, 2021 meeting.  Bid opening will begin at 6:45 p.m. at the Westville Town Hall located at 936 County Route 19, Constable, NY.  All bids must be postmarked no later than August 13, 2021.  You may hand-deliver your bid to the Town Clerk anytime up until the bid opening on August 16, 2021. The Westville Town Board reserves the right to accept or reject any and all bids.
